This old man came up to us when we had stopped for lunch after the taiko - he was remarking how there was one guy and 5 girls - poor Scott - he`s asian, so the old man thought he was one lucky japanese dude (because white girls are easy, of course). He then remarked that perhaps Scott woud have his hands full, and he would volunteer to impregnate us. What he didn`t know is that Maeva (a girl who was with us) speaks and understands Japanese, and apparently he was being so rude that this is all she would tell us. In any case, I just turned to him and said "yoroshiku onegaishimas" (whisch means nice to meet you) and then in really fast English I made a remark about viagra and his penis being too small anyhow. I smiled, bowed, grabbed my friends` hands and took off to the car.
Another interesting thing happened - sports day rehearsal. The students march around the yard in uniform with one hand outstretched like a nazi officer and play oompah music, then they run around, have a tug of war, the girls dance while the boys perform feats of strength (like human pyramids).
it was all a bit too much...
